Mental Health Support Teams Senior Practitioner

The post holders will be responsible for delivering interventions within Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in schools and collages, whilst receiving clinical supervision, and to develop supervision skills and leadership skills to support EMHP and CWP junior colleagues undertake their clinical roles. 

They will also support and supervise junior staff in the service to utilise supervision and internal development opportunities to ensure their work has a clear and effective evidence base and where possible is co-produced and most importantly child and young person centered. 

The post-holder will be a graduate qualified health care professional with significant CBT experience (Qualifications examples: CWP, EMHP, Nurse, Social Worker, IAPT CBT Therapist or OT)

They will be expected to work closely with schools to support CYP, their families and  staff  to foster a whole school approach to mental well-being. They will have clinical experience working with children and young people (CYP) with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties, and delivering CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood and behavioural problems to CYP individually and in groups.

The role offers opportunity for further training  as post holders will be offered training in supervision and developing their low intensity CBT skills. 

The post holders will have both supervisory responsibilities as well as caseload work. (on average 60% of the work is clinical)
