Senior Infection Prevention & Control Nurse

The post holder will be an integral part of the larger Infection Prevention and Control Service, which has responsibility for the entire Trust. The Team advises on the prevention and control of infection in all NELFT in-patient services, community health services and mental health services in North East London, Essex and Kent.

The post holder will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative assistance and support to the infection prevention and control service while undergoing a formal development programme and accredited training.

The post holder will be expected to gain competence in all aspects of the role and apply this in their work with minimal supervision, and to attend further infection control training to develop knowledge and skill base as directed to aid the provision of a quality, safe and efficient service.
